A resident on Woodside Hill who keeps two female cats has written to warn of a couple of incidents recently in which each of her pets was attacked and bitten by another cat. One of her pets needed 8 visits to the vets to sort out the wounds, which were bites to the backside sustained as the injured cat ran away.
The attacks happened during November. The resident has observed a ginger cat chasing her pets. She says the advice from the vet is:
- Aggressive behaviour is more likely to happen at dawn or dusk
- Cats should be kept in at night
- The cat which carried out the attacks may be new to the area
- The level of aggression would be consistent with a male cat which has not been neutered.
