The deadline for submissions to Chiltern District Council in relation to their public consultation regarding possible sites for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople is 14 October.  We remind residents that one of the sites (“Area 4”) identified as potentially suitable is the field on Denham Lane next to Winkers nightclub close to the Estate.

Chalfont Heights Roads Committee will be making a submission. We expect to post it on our website next week, so residents who wish to make their own submissions can refer to it.

It is our understanding that the Parish Council and the local campaign group SENSE will also be responding to the consultation.

We have been made aware that SENSE is concerned that the procedure for making submissions might be confusing: the group says its representatives will be available in Chalfont St Peter village this coming Saturday, 28th September to offer explanations of the consultation procedure and discuss points that they consider relevant to it.
