Thames Water have again indicated that they intend to carry out sewer work on a short section of Chiltern Hill immediately west of the island at the Ellis Avenue junction, which is likely to require the temporary closure of Chiltern Hill at that point. These are the same works that they had indicated would start some weeks ago but which did not then proceed. They have not given us a more precise start date than “on or about Wednesday 26th February” and have not given us an indication of duration, though we expect the closure will not last more than a couple of days.
