Bucks County Council has published plans to shut a key road in Chalfont St Peter for several months, starting on Monday 14 January.
The Bucks CC website indicates that Chalfont St Peter High Street will be closed between The Greyhound Inn and Market Place roundabout from 14 Jan to 17 May 2013. Bucks CC assesses the impact of this closure as “severe”.
Chalfont Heights Roads Committee is actively working on plans to mitigate the effect of this extended road closure.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Early date for your diary: the Annual General Meeting this year will be slightly earlier than usual, on Friday 8 February at the Parish Church Hall in Church Lane, Chalfont St Peter.
It will start at 7.30pm promptly; drinks will be served as you arrive, from 7pm onwards. A copy of the Annual Report will be circulated to you in January, before the AGM. We look forward to seeing you there.

A resident on Woodside Hill who keeps two female cats has written to warn of a couple of incidents recently in which each of her pets was attacked and bitten by another cat. One of her pets needed 8 visits to the vets to sort out the wounds, which were bites to the backside sustained as the injured cat ran away.

The Committee recently received a nice letter from Mr Tony Roeder of North Ferriby, East Yorkshire. Mr. Roeder came across the Chalfont Heights website and having lived here between 1932 and 1957, he kindly shared some of his recollections with us in the attached letter.
The Roeder family lived on the Heights while Tony’s father, JR Roeder worked for the Stroud family, he designed houses for WJ Stringer following service in WW2. Mr Roeder also kindly sent us copies of a […]
